Announcements for April 14th

CCCS Information for April 14, 2016

2016/2017 Referral Program

$500 per year per student referred.

For every student that enrolls you could earn up to $500 a year in tuition credit.

How it works

When you introduce a new family to Calvary, make sure they put your name on their application and let the school know you referred them.

For every quarter they attend, your family will in turn receive a $125 credit towards your tuition per quarter for a possible total of $500 per year per student referred.

What you can do

We have three exciting events coming up where you can invite your family and friends to learn more about our school!

April 23 – Let’s Go Fly a Kite – for all NEW kindergarten and first grade families

April 26 – Open House for all inquiring families

May 16 – Open House for all inquiring families

You can also make an appointment for them to tour our campuses or have their students come and spend a day at our school!

ANNIE FANS!  Thank you so much for making this year’s musical a tremendous success!  Here are some photos taken by Britt Pierson Photography.  Feel free to upload and share them. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cf2wasgc64i5ias/AAB3Z4B0NHdOTHibj4kRg4I1a?dl=0

Two lunch Tuesday:  Each student will bring home a brown paper bag. As a family, decorate the bags. This can be with stickers, markers, and/or your favorite Bible verse.  When it is time to make lunches for Tuesday, pack the extra brown bag with a lunch. Make sure that when your child gets to Calvary on Tuesday that he/she gives the lunch to the students that are out front collecting them.  You can also go onto http://www.vegasbrokenchains.org/ for more info.

Re-enrollment reminder…fees go up $100 on May 1st (from $475 to $575). Families need to log-in to their Renweb account to access their enrollment packet or to choose the option “not returning”.

****MANDATORY PARENT MEETING SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, OCT 26TH AT 6:00 IN THE CHAPEL****

A Letter From Pastor Rick:

I want to invite you to attend a “Mandatory” parent meeting scheduled for October 26, 2015 at 6:00 in the chapel.

Now that we have one quarter of the school year completed, it is a good time to evaluate the past and look forward to the future.

Evaluation can sometimes be difficult as it may point to areas that need to be strengthened or improved.

Looking forward can also be difficult as it may reveal areas that need adjustment before success can be reached.

This meeting will do both, evaluate and look forward.

I am personally encouraged with the progress we have made in some areas but I would be amiss to share that everything is great.

On Monday the 26th, I will report some evaluation, share vision, and introduce strategies to help us move forward.

This meeting is very important due to the themes we will be discussing and I hope that at least one parent from each family can make it.

We will not have childcare and the meeting should last around 1 hour.

Blessings,

Rick Martin Ed.D.

Superintendent Calvary Chapel Christian School

SB 302 Update:  Funding is now projected to start the first week of February and then follow in May, August, and November.  Pending lawmaker approval, the regulations will exclude Kindergartners and military families from the 100 day requirement.  (They are still not sure about 1st graders under the age of seven).  It looks like things are moving forward even in the midst of the two lawsuits against the bill.

The regulations are now planned to be finalized on Nov. 19.
