DISCIPLESHIP
CCCS is dedicated to leading students into a pattern of life and receptiveness of thought conducive to spiritual life. The staff, the school advisory board and the administration of Calvary Chapel Christian School are interested in the development of the whole child.
CCCS is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS). One of the criteria and hallmarks of the accreditation process is the review the school’s Expected Student Outcomes (ESOs). These were carefully chosen to reflect what we wanted our students to be able to achieve and what character traits we desired them to have through their training and education at Calvary Chapel Christian Schools.
For us as a Christian school, there can be no more important ESO than that of observing our students exhibiting those qualities and traits of committed Christians. We strive for our students to exhibit Christian character, love the Lord and show respectful, polite and engaging behavior both in and out of the classroom. It is also wonderful to observe our teachers impart God’s Word to their students and to see them reach not only the students’ minds, but also their hearts.

ACADEMICS
Calvary Chapel Christian School strives to provide each child with the opportunity to participate in a full grade-level academic curriculum.
We want to address the student’s unique learning needs within a small classroom setting and reinforce social skills and appropriate interpersonal relationships. Our goal is to build self-esteem in the lives of students based on the biblical principle that God has created every person to be unique and of infinite value. We strive to promote a learning environment that encourages our students to know and honor the Lord Jesus Christ in thought, word and deed.
An Intervention student is a child who is struggling in one or more areas of academic achievement despite good cognitive ability. They possess a primary learning difficulty, they do not have a behavior or emotional issue. They may have been diagnosed as having a specific learning disability and they show average to above average intelligence.
The Intervention program emphasizes academic re mediation within the context of a traditional Christian school environment. It offers self-contained, small-sized classes allowing for more opportunities for individual attention. The Intervention program is staffed with credentialed teachers who have specific training in the Peabody Picture Vocabulary, Woodcock, Key Math, Bender, and Gestalt assessments. We are blessed to have a licensed psychologist as our Intervention Specialist. Her team of teachers provide love, patience, structure, clear expectations, and positive reinforcement.
The adjusted academic expectations allow for differences in the pace of grade-level skill development. The Intervention teachers provide clear directions, careful explanations, and repeated and consistent reinforcement of skills through daily class work and homework assignments.

ARTS
Worship not only happens in weekly chapel times but also as we honor God when using the gifts He has given us to glorify Him. At Calvary we are blessed with gifted teachers and directors who instruct and nurture our student’s talents. Whether their passion is art, music, dance, or drama, we are confident they will fit in at Calvary.
Art
The art department continues to expose students to different artists, styles and mediums, allowing them to produce an outstanding showing at the ACSI Art Festival each spring In past years, our students have one Best of Show in one or more of the three categories. One year our students won Best of Show for elementary, middle school and high school, which is an outstanding accomplishment as they competed against several other schools.
